Worshipful Master David Gutteridge and Charity Steward Simon Atkinson presented a £1,000 donation to the Great North Air Ambulance Service (GNAAS) at their Eaglescliffe base. Sophie Bendelow received the cheque on behalf of the fundraising team.
The helicopter charity costs £5.2 million per year to operate (2020–2021 figures). The newest Eurocopter AS-365N-3+ Dauphin includes emergency floats for water operations and covers the Isle of Man. The GNAAS also operates Critical Care Cars during non-flight hours.
